The internet has opened up a magical door for artists to introduce their work to the world. It has also allowed art lovers to shop for unique pieces outside the scope of their local galleries. The down side is that, by exposing artwork on the internet, the artist faces the ever increasing problem of infringement. Therefore, this page was created to help educate and provide information relating to this topic. All artwork created by Moné Musel has been registered with the United States Copyright Office in order to protect it from being misused. Registering artwork with the U.S. government permits an artist to sue an infringer, not only to cease and desist the art misuse, but also to obtain monetary compensation. Moné Musel retains sole ownership of all copyrights to all of the art works, graphics and images within this web site. When a buyer purchases a piece of art, the “personal” or “fair” use of the art includes the right to own, display or resell the piece — but not the copyright to it. By Federal law, reproduction is not allowed, including any means or process of copying/hand tracing, photocopying, scanning, painting, photographing, etc, whether it might be for the intent of profit or nonprofit. Derivative works of the original artwork may not be created (even if for satirical purposes) without verifiable, written permission from Moné Musel. If you would like further information about using any of Moné's images, for any purpose, please contact the studio.
